Holland, M.P. for Christchurch North, returned to Christchurch yesterday after an eight weeks' trip to Australia. He visited all the States except Tasmania. Building operations in Sydney were tremendous, and three and four-storev buildings were being demolished to make way for bigger structures. The newspapers said that in Melbourne there were 10,000 unemployed. In Sydney although work seemed brisk there had been 300 applications for one position.
