LICENSING COMMITTEE.
TRANSFERS AND RENEWALS. WAITEMATA APPLICATION* ADJOURNED. The City Licensing Committee met to-day, Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., presiding.
Five permanent transfers of licenses were granted; fourteen licenses were issued to licensees who had held temporary transfers during the past year; •43 renewals of licenses were made, and fifteen wholesale licenses were granted. One wine license was adjourned.
The committee adjourned the application for a license for the Waitemata Hotel until July 13, as the new building was not sufficiently advanced for the transfer of the license from the temporary premises at present in use. The Britomart Hotel application was also adjourned until July 13, to allow the owners of the premises to do certain r epairs before the licensee could make >iprovements that were required by the oinmittee.
