FEWER MARRIAGES.
BIRTH BSVTE FALLING
Tbe birth and marriage rates etill ebow a marked tendency to decrease. With last month's figures added, the total number of marriages in Auckland this year is 874, as compared vrith 947 for the first five months of last year. Marriages by the registrar are proportionately more numerous fhan they were last year.
