CLEANING UP GREY STREET.
POLICE COMMISSIONERS STRICTURES. Evidently the remarks of Commissioner Mcllveney regarding crime in Auckland have attracted attention in other pane of New Zealand. This morning, an Auckland business man received the following telegram from a facetious friend in Palmerston North:— "Seriously alarmed for your *af.>ty. Better arrange to come here till Grey Street is cleaned up."
