It is understood that a syndicate bas been formed in Dunedin for tbe purpose of salvaging tbe Riverina, which was recently wrecked in Ba«s Strait. Mr. R. C. Miller, of Port Chalmers wbo is well known in connection with various salvaging operation*, will proceed immediately to Sydney in connection with tbe proposed undertaking.
