KEEN SPECULATORS, IX WINNIPEG'S WHEAT PIT. (Received 10 a.m.) WINNIPEG, May 25. May wheat soared 13% cents within two minutes of the market opening, but soon slumped seven cents. Traders fought like madmen until the peak, $1.70 was touched. Then" profittaking developed with the Canadian wheat pool believed to be the largest seller. The advance is attributed to trapping a big short interest in May operations. Continued rains in the western grain belt are aiding the rise.
