GRAMMAR SCHOOL.
HOSTEL NOT PAYING. Several matters, most of them of a -flinor nature, were discussed at a meeting of the Auckland Grammar i Schools Board yesterday afternoon. The chairman; Fj-ofessor A. P.. W. Thomas presided./ The Takapuna school:—lt was decided that scholars who have attended schools In two or more years, be p> - allowed to complete their course. School Lists.—Despite the fact that tlie. printing of the school lists and the ; * examination involved the expenditure |~? of f2OO, the board decided that they were not of so little value as to war- £^: rant being discontinued. The chairman.knew that a number of pupils kept the lists for several years alter they had left the school, and he thought that it would be a great mistake if they were not published in future. Election of Parents' Representative.— . The present, scheme of voting is to be amended so* that both parents of pupils at all schools are to be eligible to vote at the election of the parents' members of the board.
