Henry Hopper Adams and Charles James Winder were charged at the Magistrate's Court to-day with neglectS I^' 'J?** 0 . ,1 ' from thei? sections at Hikuai and Tairua. It was explained by Inspector H. Denire that a warning had been issued, but it was ignored. Adams wrote to the Court saying he would dear the weeds off. Bis ea« was adjourned for a month to allow him to do so. ■■* . .•?".,. . . Winder's counsel said he had paid £30 to three men, who cleared only three acres. He also gave a free lease of land to a man, on the understanding that he would clear the section, but he failed to do so. Winder was given a fortnight to make an arrangement with the Department regarding the- clearing of Hμ weeds from his property.
