The lork-np shop of Mr. James Williams, tailor, of Dominion Road, was entered on Friday night by a burglar, who broke open the back door. Several roUe of tweed and a few s-uits were stolen. The value of the goods is between £40 and £50. On Monday evening a hocsc at 12, Olive Road, was visited by a thief, who broken two wifely catches on a bedroom window and stole a purse containing £10, which belonged to a young lady. She left her purse with her coat in the bedroom and went upstairs, where she practised on a 'cello. The room was unoccupied for aot more than ten minutes, so the thief, besides being aiidacinne, wae a quick and silent worker. i Kridently he wrenched off the safety chains under cover of the round made bv the instrument upstairs.
