FAT SHEEP IN DEMAND.

The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co.yLtd., report:— At Frankton yesterday we had a good yarding of beef, a small entry of fat and store sheep, a heavy yarding of fat and store pigs, and several pens of good store cattle. There was no improvement in beef. Fat sheep met with keen comse~ tition at advanced rates. Good competition took place for all classes of states. We yarded several pens of good quality grown steers, which met with a ready sale. Fat pigs were on a par with last weefs prices and there was a keen demand far all classes of stores. We quote:— Cattle.—Fat steers, light weights, £7 15/; plain and unfinished, £6 17/6 to £6 19/; prime fat Polled Angus cows, £6*5/; fat heifers, £6; fat cows, £4 7/6 to £5 10/; medium quality, £3 8/ to £3 7/#> f £> w^ d . cow , 8 A £215/ to £3 5 /i vea k«£ £2 6/ to £2 15/; fresh conditioned steers, £6 3/ to £6 10/ and £6 18/; choice Jersey heifer calves, £36/: mixed sex calves, 23/ to 27/; bulls, £3 to £5 5/; choice springing heifers, £7 10/ to £10 15/; springing cows, £5 10/ to £7. Sheep.—Extra prime heavy ewes, 20/ (for a pend on account of Mr. H. S.
