TARANAKI OILFIELDS.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. Taranaki Oilfields report as follows:— Waiapu No. 2 well: Drilled to 1135 ft in grey shale. Water and a little gas from 1105 ft to 1110 ft, hole caving. Ten-inch casing run to 1128 ft. Taranaki No. 3 well: Still obstructed from 72ft to 77ft, but progress is now more satisfactory. Gisborne No. 1: Good progress made in the erection of rig and camp. Weather is delaying transport.
