DRIVER INJURED.
HORSE'S HOOF ON CHEST.
WHEEL PASSES OVER HIS BACK.
Through three horses bolting in Eden Terrace at 12.45 p.m. to-day, painful and severe injuries were received by Mr. Alexander Ramsay (42), a married man living at 108, Richmond Road. Mr. Ramsay, who is an employee of Mr. Lovatt, of Rose Road, drove his team to the Pukemiro Coal depot at Eden Terrace. He got off his seat, and went round to the pole of the vehicle, and at that moment the horses took fright and bolted? Mr. Ramsey was knocked down, one.horse planted a hoof on his chest, and a wheel of the wagon passed over his back. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by St. John Ambulance. It was found that his principal injuries were cuts and abrasions.
