ASHBURTON WAR MEMORIAL.
ARCHITECTS' COMPETITION. aucklander second. (Ey Telegraph. —Press Association.) ASHBURTON, this day. Messrs. Turnbull and Rule, architects, of Timam, gained the first award in the competitive designs for the Ashburton War Memorial. Mr. H. L. Massey, of i Auckland, was second. Twenty-eight designs were submitted from all parts of the Dominion, and all were of the cenotaph type.
