THOUGHTLESS FLAPPERS.
Talking about "Hatless Sheiks," the general idea is that they cannot afford to buy a hat. * Xo wonder, if one considers the amount of ■ money a young man has to spend on the girl, of to-day for the pleasure of her company*, For instance, he generally has to take her to the pictures or theatre about twice a week, ' and that costs him the price of a good hat. ' He actually has to pay for most of her amuse-. ment, chocolates and*ear fare, while she has, all her pocket money to spend (none too wisely) on herself. Why cannot girls be sen-' siblo and modify their pleasures and wants? Tho reason why so manv couples get married nowadays without any* capital is that tho young man has had to spend all his spare cash on his fiancee while she has spent all of hers foolishly keeping up with "Dame Fashion."
