The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following market report from the London nireney, dated May 13, the previous week's prices being- in parentheses: -- Butter.—New Zealand, salted 158/ to H)W (152/ to 15!;). unsalted 104/ to ICS/ (104/ to I GOO. Market closing slower but firm.' Australian, finest salted 150/ to 158/ (150/ to 1 52'), unsalted 100/ to 101/ (158/ to 102 ). Market stcadv. Argentine, finest unsalted. 153/ to 150/ (150/ to 101'). ksthonia. 1.'2/ to 154'. Lithuanian, 150/ 1118/). Siberian, 150/ to 152/ (1-18/') Danish. 100/ to 101' (100/ t.o 1(12/). Retail prices unchanged. The weat her here is very dry, affecting the sentiment of the market. Continental markets have further declined, and Colonial is now too high to ill I crest. In connection jvith the butter pools the board advises as follows: — •Creamery Butter, Pool No. 3.- -This pool pernios from May I, and ineluil. s all butter graded from that date up to October 31. The indications are that the net returns for this period should show a considerable improvement over the previous six months. Creamery Butter Fool, No. 1. —A further firuil payment under this pool will be distributed either'on Friday or Saturday of this week. This will amount to ,13-IGths of u penny per lb, ynd will bring the average payment per pound of butter in the pool up to 1/3.4 id f.o,b.
