CHURCH MEETINGS.
ST, MATTHIAS', PANMURE. Parishioners of St. Matthias' AnglicanChurch, Panmure, held their annmj|. meeting last night, there being a largaj? attendance. This church is incorporated with Otahuhu parish. The Rev. c. 5. W'£ Seton presided. The report submitted the church wardens showed satisfactory] 1 progress all round. The attendance a£i the services had increased, and the offer* | tories were about double those of theij previous year. Receipts from sources totalled £544. The vicar, in the course of his re-' marks, referred to the importance of! restoring the Church of St. Matthais to' its former beauty. Mr. J. Allen was appointed vicar's war* den, and Mr. J. Kay people's warden. The following vestry was elected* Messrs. P. J. Booth, S. Hamlin, S. Hamlin, jun., Keyes, liegge, Williams, and Dr. A. C. Purchas. PARISH OP TAKAPCXA. The annual meeting of the parishioner*! of Takapuna was held last Monday ia th« Parish Hall, the vicar presiding. The< churchwardens' report showed that after the. repayment of all loans and meeting all lia~. bilities was a credit balance of £13.1 exclusive a legacy of £200. Several, alterations and additions bad been made to the church building, and the electric lisht 1 had been installed as well as an electric, blower for the organ. Church attendance' showed an increase of over SOO, while the' communicants had increased by over 1000. > The usual votes of thanks included a., special reference to the valuable assistance rendered by the Bev. O. R. Hewlett. Thar report stated that the Milford Hall hadj been altered, and the primate would hot asked to dedicate it as a church on Sunday.; May 29. at 11 a.m. Special mention was 1 made of the splendid work done by Mrs. Atrf [ wood in connection with the Milford Church. .
