I would like to inform this Kemuer* reeident that scarcity of work compels typist* and shopgirls to seek domestic duties, while newcomers will no doubt be placed in the positions vacated by us as time goes on. We, New Zealanders born and bred" and train** for special work, feel very keenly this slump in business, and it is cruel to land people ia this country under these rendition*.
