KELLS WINS STEEPLECHASE AGAIN. The Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club continued its competitions on Saturday under adverse conditions for the sport. Four events were decided, two being field events. The chief attraction, a two mile steeplechase, was won by O. Kells. who judged his pace nicely, nnd was going easily at the finish. Tlie following are the running results :— 75 YARDS HANDICAP. H. 55. Roper, 4yds l B. M. Murray, syds 2 A. 1 -anion t, syds a Won by a yard, with inches between second and third. Time, 8 2-ss. TWO MILE STEEPLECHASE. O. Kells, eer i F. Adams, 100s " T. Wilson, 70s .... s Adams was in front right up till about 350 yds, from when KellH, who had been gaining ground fast, forged into the lead, and going on won fairly comfortably by about syds from Adams, who was lords In front of Wilson, with Gllchrist in fourth place. Time llm 21 2 ss.
