SCOT RE-FLOATED.
RETURNS TO WAIPT7. DAMAGE BELIEVED SLIGHT. The scow Scot was refloated off the Waipu beach yesterday. She was driven ashore by a strong north-east wind on Friday evening,, following on the breaking of the rudder chain. When the mishap occurred, the Scot was bound for Auckland with a load of sand, and once ashore, she was filled by the surf. The crew escaped safely and camped on the beach near by. On Saturday the sea moderated and the vessel remained without serious damage. On being refloated she was able to return to Waipu, and is at present jn the river there.
