NORTH AUCKLAND'S CAUSE.
MEETIXG OF PROGRESS LEAGUE. (Bj Telegraph.—Otrrj Correspondent.) • WHAXGAREI, this day. At the annual meeting of the. Xorth Auckland Progress League last night, the secretary, Mr. A. T. Bainsby. reviewed the good work accomplished by tho league, especially in the matter of advertising Xorth Auckland, and the prominence obtained in the Auckland Provincial .Handbook. The exhibits at Dtinedin and at the Toronto Fair both helped to place Xorth Auckland on the map. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—President. Mr. D. A. McLean; vice-presidents, the Mayors of Whangarei and Dargaville, the chairmen of the Otamatea, Whangarei, Mangonui and Whangaroa County Councils; treasurer, Mr. J. A. West.
