Mussolini's Bold Effort to > Economise. WOBKERS ASK REDUCTION. LONDON, May 10. The Rome correspondent of the "Daily Express" says the revaluation of the lire is proceeding. Italy is bravely facing her financial ' and commercial rehabilitation. ' The Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, ' is showing the firmest determination to reduce the salaries of Civil servants to the extent of £4,000,000 a year. A new bank is being formed to finance exports independently of political con-
siderations. An example of Fascist discipline and sacrifice was shown at Brescia, where the workers asked for a 10 per cent reduction in their wages, so that freights might be reduced.
