HINEMOA TO-MORROW MORNING.

Reports from steamers inward bound to Auckland indicate that stormy conditions still prevail at sea.

The Marama wirelessed this morning that she was encountering adverse conditions and that she would not reach port until half-past seven this evening. This vessel left Sydney on Friday afternoon and had she experienced average weather on her trip across the Tasman would have reached port at 7 o'clock this morning. Yesterday morning she reported that she expected to arrive at 5 o'clock this afternoon, but, as Indicated in her latest radio, she has been, still further delayed.

Returning from Norfolk Island, the steamer Hinemoa is apparently meeting the full force of the storm and is not expected to put in an appearance until to-morrow morning. She advised yesterday that the gale was holding her back and that the time of her arrival was uncertain. This morning she wirelessed that she had passed the North Cape at 6 a.m., but that the stormy conditions showed no signs of abating. A telegram from Wellington states that the Maunganui arrived there from Sydney shortly before midday to-day, five hours behind time.

The Kaimanawa, which arrived at Auckland from Westport at a late houi last night, encountered a hard south-east gale after rounding Cape Maria van Diemen, and her arrival was delaped by about twelve hours.

The E.M.m.B. Aorangi, which arrived lete yesterday morning, was unable to complete cargo work in time to resume her voyage to Vancouver this morning and her departure has been postponed until 8 o'clock this evening.
