NATIVE SENTENCED.
RAN AMOK IN STORM. (Received 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Toaruru, a native of the Solomon Islands, who was a seaman on the missionary steamer John Williams, has been sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment with hard labour for killing another member of the crew on April 21. The judge said he would order Toaruru's deportation.
