MARAMA DUE THIS EVENING. AORANGI SAILS AT 8 P.M. There were no overseas arrivals at Auckland to-day, but this evening the Marama, which has, been held back by stormy weather, will arrive from Sydney. Three overseas steamers are due to make port to-morrow, the Hinemoa, from Norfolk Island, in the morning, the Wairuna from San Francisco, in the afternoon, and the Canadian Britisher, from Halifax, in the evening. The Moeraki is expected to leave Wellington for Melbourne, via southern ports, on Wednesday, May 18. The Kamona left Portland at 3 p.m. yesterday for Wellington and New Plymouth. The Kaiwarra is expected to reach Auckland from Newcastle on Friday next. The Wingatui is to leave Bluff about Saturday noxt for Auckland, via Lyttelton and Wellington. The Kurow is to sail on Thursday for Lyttolton direct. She is now definitely announced to call at Picton on her trip north from Lyttelton, whence she is to sail on Monday. The Admiralty oil tanker Nucula is to berth alongside the Marama to-morrow-morning, to pump a quantity of oil fuel into the latter vessel's tanks. SUSSES OX SATURDAY. Bringing general cargo from Eastern ports, the steamer Sussex expects to reach Auckland on Saturday next, having sailed from Townsvllle at 11 p.m. on Friday last. AUSTRALIND SAILED. Shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday the steamer Australind left Auckland for Wellington, for further discharge of her general cargo from New York. ROTORUA'S RADIO REPORT. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rotorua has reported by wireless that she expects to reach Wellington from London and Southampton on Friday evening next. WAIPAHI TO LOAD FRUIT. A projected sailing from Auckland at S o'clock this evening Is the Union Co.'s steamer Waipahi for Rarotonga, Mangala, and Aitutaki to load the first of the new season's fruit for Auckland. MATAROA SAILS DAYBREAK. Cargo operations on the Shaw, Savlll and 1 Albion Co.'b liner Mataroa are expected to be completed this evening, and the vessel is to sail at daybreak to-morrow for Wellington in continuation of her voyage from London. KAWAITRI TO RECOMMISSION. After being laid up in the stream, off Orakei, for about five weeks, the Union Co.'s steamer Kawatiri is to recommlssion. She is announced to sail at midday to-morrow for Newcastle, where she is to load coal for New Zealand. PETRICOLA DEPARTED. For further discharge of her cargo of bulk motor spirit, the tanker Petricola left Auckland for Wellington yesterday afternoon. She will pump out the balance of her cargo at Timaru. NAUTICAL INQUIRY. An inquiry into the collision, several weeks ago, between the auxiliary schooner Elsie Mary, and the steamer Ahuriri will be held at the Magistrate's Court on May KAIMANAWA ARRIVED. After being delayed for twelve hours owing to stormy weather off Cape Maria van Dlemen, the Union Co.'s steamer Kaimanawa arrived at Auckland from Westport late last night. This morning she berthed at the King's wharf. CANADIAN BRITISHER FROM HALIFAX. Carrying general cargo from Halifax, the Canadian Government steamer Canadian Britisher is expected to arrive at Auckland at 8 p.m. to-morrow. She will berth at the Princes wharf on Thursday morning, instead of the King's wharf as was previously announced. THE PORT HARDY. To the Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co.'s Agency, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line's steamer Port Hardy is expected to arrive at Auckland from London about Monday next. From Auckland she is to go South to complete discharge, and to commence loading for New York, Boston and London. _____ ANOTHER TANKER ORDERED. Messrs. I.lthgows, Ltd., Port Glasgow, have received from the Vacuum Oil Company, London, an order for an oil tank steamer similar to the Plume and the Pulpit Point, built for the same owners last year. These two ships have both visited Auckland, and present the last Word in up-to-date tanker construction.
