Official quotations:— New Zealand.—Salted, May 7, 152/ to 154/ per cwt; April 30, 154/. Unsalted: May 7, 164/ to 166/; April 30, 164/ to 166/. Other qualities: May 7, 142/ to 150/. Australian.—Salted: May 7, 150/ to 152/ up to 153/ per cwt; April 30. 150/ to 152/; Unsalted: May 7, 158/ to 162/; April 30, 158/ to 159/. Other qualities: May 7, 138/ to 152/. Argentine.—Unsalted: May 7, 150/ to 154/ per cwt; exceptional. 156/; April 30, 152/ to 156/. Other qualities: May 7, 140/ to 148/. Danish (market steadier).—May 7. 160/ to 162/ per cwt; April 30, 164/ to 166/. Cheese.—New Zealand and Australian markets firm. Official quotations are:— Canadian (steady).—Finest coloured and i white: May 7, 92/ per cwt; April 30, 90/ ; to 94/. Other qualities: May 7, 88/ to 90/. New Zealand.—Finest coloured: May 7, 82/ per cwt; exceptional, 83/. White: . May 7, 82/; April 30, 75/ to 76/. Other qualities: May 7, 80/ to 81/. Australian.—Coloured: May 7, 77/ per cwt; April 30, 73/ to 75/. White: May 7, ; 78/. Other qualities: May 7, 74/ to 76/. Estimated cheese stocks on May 2 at London, Liverpool and Bristol.—Canadian [ and American, 22,800 boxes; New Zealand i and Australian, 119,850 crates, against ! against 29,600 and 72,750 for the correi sponding time last year. ; Shipments of New Zealand produce i arrived this week per Tasmania and i Pakeha. Casein. —Present quotations are: French rennet, £50 to £55; South American, £69. Hemp.—The Manila market is quiet, but 1 prices have firmed. "J" grade, May-July ! shipments are quoted, sellers £41. Sisal: ; Better demand for afloat and business has , been done at £38 for No. 1. July-Septem- , ber shipment sold at £37 10/. The New Zealand market is quiet. Buyers here have | paid New Zealand sellers during this week £34 for fair. No business had been done ' in high-points, but nominal value is £35. Wool. —Competition at the sales is improving. There is no quotable change, but there is a hardening tendency. r ■
