AUCKLAND ROTARY CLUB.
WEEKLY LUNCH MEETING.
The weekly lunch meeting of the Auckland Rotary Club held to-day in the Unity Hall was largely attended. The president, Mr. W. Coltman, occupied the chair. Amongst many visitors present were:—Messrs. J. W. Bissau (Dublin), W. H. Smith (London), F. B. Spencer (Sydney), Jas. P. Glynn (Winstead, Conn., U.SJL), A. P. Kennedy (Bournemouth), W. A. B. Daly and F. Sutton (Melbourne), W. J. (Whangarei), and W. D. Hi* Wellington).
The speaker of tU was Dr. Horace Belshawv M.A. (N.Z.,. .*h.D. (Cantab), who was recently appointed Professor of Economics at Auckland University. Dr. Belshaw, whose address on unemployment insurance is reported in another column, expressed his pleasure that his maiden speech in Auckland should have been at a gathering of local Botarians. At tbe conclusion of the address a motion of thanks to the speaker was proposed by Rotarian A. G. Lunn and carried by acclamation.
