LABOUR POLICY.
KB. IOUAHS AT OPOTIKL VOTE OF CONFIDENCE PASSED. (By Telegraph.—* Own Oorrespoadeat.) OPOTIKI, this day. Mr. H- E, Holland, Leader of the Opposition, delivered an address here on Saturday night to a very large audieilce, Mi-. G. M. Moody, tbe Mayor, presided^ Mr. Holland strongly criticised': the present Government's policy. He said that tbe position was steadily growing ibm. - - Land aggregation -was Increasing at an alaraing tate, 68 owners haying over, 81,1000-acres each. The first steps of the Labour party when in power Would be to break up tbe large estates, thus increasing production. The Bank of New Zealand, be said, bad made no move to help the fanners. Mr. HoOsnd severely criticised Mr. Coates' work in connection with the Dairy Control Board, declaring that he was actually hindering the board and that he would be-compelled at the next session to explain. He (Mr. Holland) also strongly attacked the Press Association, charging it with tbe suppression of news that would help the Control Board.
After many questions had been satisfactorily answered, the speaker was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and confidence.
