NORTH AUCKLAND TOURNAMENT.

PIKST ROUND RESULTS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The North Auckland lawn tounis Easter tournament was opened at the Whangarei courts yesterday, when over 100 competitors from all parts of North Auckland, including Mrs. Scott Watson, last year's lady champion, took part. Seventy matches were played yesterday, but the lirst rounds were not yer completed. The tournament wilt be continued until Tuesday, when it is hoped the tin.-il stapes will be reached.
