CORRECT CLOTHING.

Sartorial Surprise Created by Labour. TRADE PAPER'S COMMENTS. (Received 11 a.m.^ LONDON, April 15. Tlie apparel of the male guests at the wedding of Miss Peppy Thomas, daughter of Mr. J. H. Thomas, the famous Labour leader, is the subject of an article in the "Tailor and Cutter." Tho reception provided a great sartorial surprise, writes the editor. Labour has now assumed the responsibilities of being grown up, and gone to a good tailor. The time has passed when Labourites thought it necessary to shock good taste with their odd garb. The rank and file at the great reception at the Hotel Metropolo were in correct formal dress. Among the leading Conservatives, Liberals, and men of great possessions present, Labour held its own in the cut of its morning coats, and the tilt and gloss of its top-hats. Mr. Baldwin's clothes looked thorough'y tired. Lord Birkenhead fell lamentably short of what was due to the occasion and came in a lounge suit. Apparently he consorts too much with Mr. Winston Churchill, whose dressing is notoriously careless.
