The Moderate Nationalists, styled the Central Control Committee, at Nanking, has reached an impasse with the Nationalist Government at Hanko-\Y. The committee, which is dominated by the Generalissimo, Chiang Kaishek, passed a resolution demanding the arrest of several Ministers at Hankow. The resolution also demanded the expulsion of Michael Borodin, the Soviet adviser to the Nationalists, and the arrest, as enemies of public order, of Borodin, George Hsu, Minister of Justice, Tan Ping-shen, Minister of Agriculture, Chen To-hsu and Teng Yen-ta, the latter allegedly Communist party leaders. The .committee's action followed the refusal of the men named to attend a Nanking Conference, called to settle differences within the party.
