DEAR UNTO OUR HEARTS

A CAMERA. (Pink certificate to Fred Larscn. 24 Garnett Road, Grej Lynn, age 12.) One of the things which I hold "dear unto my heart" is a No. 2A Brownie. It was a Christmas present by my grandmother, who is now past 82 years of age. A THREEPENNY PIECE. ..'ink certificate to Daisy Angus, 24 Summer Street, Ponsonby, age 15.) One thing "dear unto my heart" is a threepenny piece which was given to me by a friend who went to England about five years ago. He has never returned, and it was the last thing he gave me. That is why I value it so much. SILVER LOCKET. (Pink certificate to Nessie Harrison. 30, Ardmore Road, Heme Bay, age 13). A thing specially dear to me is a silver locket with a photo of my grandpa in it, and my initials engraved on the back of it. It was given me by my grandmother and grandfather, but is specially dear to me now as my grandfather died on the 17th of last month. AN OLD KEEPSAKE. (Pink certificate to Lilla Harrison, 39, Ardmore Road, Heme Bay, age 12.) I have a very pretty ornament that is very "Dear unto my Heart" on account of its age, and who gave it to me. My great-grandmother, who is now dead, gave it to me, and she had it given her when she was a little girl, so it is about one hundred years old. A REMEMBRANCE. (Pink certificate to Nancy Searle, Morukaraka, Hokianga.) One thing "Dear unto my Heart" is a beautiful doll, which I shall always keep in remembrance of my best friend who has now left the district. SOMEWHERE IN FRANCE. (Pink certificate to William Francis, 5, Regina Street, Grey Lynn, age 12.) One thing "Dear unto my Heart" is a post-card sent to me by my uncle while he was in France during the Great War. A GOLD BROOCH. (Pink certificate to Grace Wilson. 30, Jervois Road, Ponsonby, age 10.) One thing "Dear unto my Hearf" is a gold brooch which was given to me on my grandmother's death. I value it very much, and hope I never lose it.
