A DELAYED WEDDING.
"WAITING AT THE CHURCH."
THE PARSON MISSING
ALL ENDS HAPPILY
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
HAMILTON, this day
A young couple last evening had a rather too interesting experience. Their wedding was arranged for six o'clock, everything seemed ready, and supper was set out in a large public dining room. The couple, with friends, arrived in church, but it was a case of "there wa6 I, waiting at the church," for no par' •on appeared, to their consternation. Urgent inquiries were set on foot. It transpired that the parson had gone to the seaside with the license in his coat tail pocket. Time was getting late, and the parson was too far away to return in time, so a hunt was made for another. This was accomplished after difficulty., Then, on his arrival, the bridegroom was missing, he having taken part in the search for the missing minister. Then, when he was located, the hour was too late. Anyhow, the couple were more fortunate this morning, and now are satisfactorily joined together.
