South Africa's New Flag Design. GESTURE OF GOODWILL. (Received 9.:>0 a.m.) CAPETOWN, April 12. A conference between the South African Government Flag Commission a-.!'! the representatives of the various Vigilance Committees has handed in its report. This recommends the adjourning of the conference .until May 14 in order to enable the representatives of the various South African Flag committees to report to those bodies. The design recommended to the Government by the Flag Commission consists of the Cross of St. George on a £ieen field, divided quarterly. The representatives regard this as a Sremiine ircsture of goodwill, and a real help to furtli-.r discussion.
