WAIKATO STOCK VALUES.
BACONERS AND PORKERS WANTED. BEEF IN OVER-SUPPLY. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Hamilton, review the stock market as follows:— Beef.—There is no improvement in the markets. Heavy supplies continue to come forward, best ox making 22/ to 24/ per 1001b, and cow and heifer 20/. Fat Sheep.—The market is firm for all classes, with a fair rise for fat ewes, with every prospect of a further rise within the next few weeks.
Store Sheep.—There is still a good inquiry for ewes in lamb, wether and store lambs.
Store Cattle.—Good yardings have been coming forward, but the demand has been very limited, especially for male cattle. There is a keen demand for yearling Jersey heifers, also for Jersey and Jersey cross in-eali heifers.
Pigs.—Competition is keen for bacoii^rs and porkers, all tlie bacon companies operating at prices equal to 5%d; good etore are meeting with competition, but veaners are low.
Horses.—With tlie exception of useful farm sorts, the market is dull.
