Mr. W. H. Murray, one of the candidates for the Auckland Harbour Board, has been a sitting member for the past two years as a representative of the City of Auckland. He has been a member of the various committees of the board, and is in intimate tojjeh with the various improvements works in progress, ilr. Murray was for eight years a member of the Grey Lynn Borough Council before the amalgamation of Grey Lynn with the city. Mr. Murray is well known in the business life of he city, being for 20 years tlie managing director of the Murray Shoe Company.

At a meeting of the executive committee of the City West I'rogre.-sive Association last evening it .vas decided that the association extend to Mr..W. H. Murray their hearty appreciation of his valuable services as a member of the Auckland Harbour Board during the past two years. It was further resolved to support Mr. Murray as a candidate for a further term.
