BULLET THROUGH WINDOW.
MAN NEARLY SHOT. INJURED BY SPLINTERED GLASS. ANT ONEHUNGA SENSATION* A resident of Onehunga, Mr. James King, had a narrow escape from being killed with a rifle bullet on Thursday night. Hβ was reclining on a couch near the window in the front room of his Lome in Captain Springs Road, Tβ Papapa, when a pane of glass in the window was smashed and fell in a shower about his head and face. This was ,at about 6.30 p.m. before the electric light had been turned on in the room.
When Mr. King had partially recoverfed from the sudden shock, and the Couch ■was Temoved from its position by Mrs. King, ehe found a No. 7 rifle bullet among the debris on the floor.
When neighbors came running to the house after hearing the crash, and saw the bullet the theory was put forseems feasible. *u*iuiy

Mr. King, who was cut about the neck with the splintered glass, and is Buffering from shock, says he is thanklux that it was no worse.
