DEALER'S LOSS.
Lucky "Snip" With Famous. Gainsborough. £30,000 PICTURE FOR £120. (Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON. April 1. Leading experts have adjudged a twelve by nine feet landscape, purchased a year ago by Colonel A. M. Grenfcll for £120 from a dealer on Edgeware Road, aa a genuine Gainsborough "worth anything up to £30,000." The dealer, when informed that the picture was the largest painting of Gainsborough known said: "We cannot be experts in all classes of pictures. I thought it was a Van der Mculcn when I bought it, with several others, from a denier, who went out of business. "It had been lying in his storeroom for twenty years. It c.-nnot be helped. It has happened to us before.' .
