ORDERLY EVACUATION. (By Cable—Press Association.—Copyrlshu (Received 1O.."?O a.m.) INDIANAPOLIS, April 1. The general "walk-out" of the union miners has halted the activity in the bituminous coal industry in the central competitive fields and several outlying districts. Over 150,000 left work on the soft coal regions with the expiration of the existing wage agreements at midnight on March 31. The mines in the central fields and in Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and outlying districts of lowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas are affected. Fully 2000 shaft and strip mines are idle, but the maintenance men have remained at work under agreement to protect property apjiinst damage. During the "walk-out* , the vast army of miners left their posts quietly.
