FOT THE LITTLE ONES
A WALL POCKET, INSTEAD OF A COMPETITION. My Dear Little Friends,— Did you see in the Competition Corner that we are. not to have any more competitions until the big Easter one is finished? It is just a tiny bit di*appointngr for us, but we'll keep our fingers busy and enjoy our corner just the same. We are making so many models that it is time we made something in which to keep our work; so here is a wall pocket. If you make one just the same size as mine you will know how to make a larger one by yourself. It would be quite easy for you to make a bigger one by using a piece of paper eight inches square, and then all the squares on the drawing would be just the size of this one. Step I.—Take a piece of stiff paper four inches square. Step 2.—Fold in halves and quarters each way and number as in Diagram A. Make a dotted line along the folds. Step 3; — Cut along the lines numbered 2 until they meet the *ines numbered 5. Step 4.—Cut along the lines numbered 3 until they meet the lines numbered 5. These cuts are marked .
I ■*— ' DIAGRAM I Step s.—Put dots on the edges of the paper between the figures 3 and 4, and draw straight lines to the dots from 6. Cut alone line at shown? in Diagram 1.
Step 6.—Put in the two A's, B's and C'« just where I have written them. Step 7.—Fold your paper to make it look like the wall pocket in Diagram 2, and keep the loose ends in place, either by gumming both sides of flap A and sticking flap B in the inside and flap C on {he outside of it, or by pinning through the flaps C, A and B. Put a piece of ribbon or string through the point of the top of the pocket and hang it on tie wall. ST) t^Hd***!** 0^
