HEADMASTER FAREWELLED.

At the Itiverhead Public School, on Wednesday afternoon, the parents and scholars presented the headmaster, Mr. W. Masson, and his wife with a silver tea set, as a token of the respect in which he is held in the district. A lollie scramble was provided for the children while Mrs. Alasson entertained the ladies at afternoon tea.

Mr. Masson is leaving the district to take up a position on the staff of the Xewton Central School, at Auckland, and his place ia to be lilled by Mr. W. H. Murray.
