QUEEN'S DISLIKE.

Stockingless Girls Did Not Amuse. HETTY KING BARRED. LONDON, March 5. Though it is fashionable for chorus girls in West End shows to appear barelegged, Queen Mary does not approve of the stockingless vogue. At a recent command performance a dancing troupe of Victoria Falaee girls had to encase their shapely limbs in tights. It had been hinted to them by the Lord Chamberlain that the Queen would not be "amused" at bare legs. The chorus girls now say they have put away their tights until the next Royal command performance. Similarly, Hetty King, who toured Australia, was not invited to appear, owing to the scruples of Royalty. Miss King is a male impersonator, and in her act wears trousers. The Prince of Wales does not share the scruples of his Royal parent, as he is frequently to be seen at theatres where the chorus is barelegged,
