KAITANGATA MINERS.
RELIEF BY GOVERNMENT. (By Telegraph. Press Associations DL'NEDIX, this day. The position of the 36 married and single men with dependents who have been thrown idle at Kaitangata mine has been relieved by the Government. Some of the men will be placed 011 road work at To Anau and Manapouri, and the remainder on similar work at Chaslands. There is no sign of the mine reopening nor of the men receiving back pay, and it is also said to t>e doubtful if the safety men will receive any wages this week.
