TE AROHA MEETING. IN THE SHADE WINS AGAIN. The annual meeting of " the Te Aroha Jockey Club wae concluded to-day in beautiful weather. The course was in excellent order, and there was a good attendance. MANAWARU HURDLES of 200sovs. One mile and three-quarters. 2—PETER ROSA, br g, aged, by St. Amans—Carl Rosa mare (Mr. P. When the field settled down, Uralia was in front and led past the stands from Gold Rain, Uiva's Isle, Pendennis and Gold Rain. Wedding March. Coming round the bend for home, Peter Rosa ran up to Pendennis with Uralia, Gold Rain and Wedding March next. Lucy Glitters was still in charge across the top from Tea Time, Te Kawana, Harvest Day, and Abbess. Lncy Glitters was first to ; turn for home from Tea Time, Te Kawana, Bold Front, and King Arch. Te Kawana then came through, and went on to win by three-quarters of a-length from King Arch, who beat Atapai by a similar distance. Crossing the top Golden Wedding had run to. the front, and was attended by Exalted, In the Shade and Auriculus. The order was much the same into the straight, but In the Shade soon had the measure of Exalted, and went on to win by a length and a-quarter from Auriculus, with Exalted a length and a-half away, third. Alonsoa £940, Lord Star £475, and Kamehameha £449 were most in demand, while Lady Cintra only carried £140 Macroom led past the stand from Wiltshire. Lady Cintra, Lady Spalpeen. Xgarara, and Alonsoa, but along the back Lady Cintra had run to the front, attended by Wiltshire. Lady Spalpeen, Alonsoa, Macroom. and Xgarara. Lady Cintra led across the top and into the straight, with Alonsoa, Lady Spalpeen, Kamehameha, and Wiltshire most handy. Lady Cintra had no trouble in going on to win by two lengths from Alonsoa, who beat Kamehameha by three-quar-ters of a length. Then came Wenday. Macroom. Lady Spalpeen, ' Xgarara, and Lord Guy.
