ROSE AT FEILDING. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) FEILDING, Saturday. The Feildiug amateur sports were held this afternoon in the presence of a large attendance. Kandolph Hose received a <-reat ovation in winning the mile handicap off scratch from thirteen competitors. The limit man was on 220 yds, C. Gibbons (Marton), 12yds, was second, and W. Denford, lSO.vds, third. Time, 4.30. Rose gradually gained on the field, and, with a remarkable sprint, passed all his opponents within the last 300 yards. liesults of the principal finals are:— 100 Yards Handicap.—M.
