A BORROWED CAR.
YOUTH GETS. TWO YEARS' PROBATION. Tn the Papakura Police Court to-day. before Mr. Poynton, S.M., Raymond Harold Richardson, aged 19, of Papakura, pleaded guilty to wrongfully converting to his own use, but not so as to be guilty of theft, a motor car, the property of John Anthony C'arr. Constable Holland, of Papakura, said that on February 11 he received a message that a motor car had been unlawfully removed from a garage. He waited at accused's home till the latter returned from a dance. Accused was driving the car very carefully. On a previous occasion he had rendered valuable assistance to the police. Mr. Poynton stated that, contrary to the police, he took a serious view of the matter, hut would take into consideration accused's vout.h and the fact that he had lost his situation. He would he admitted to probation for two vears, and ordered to pay costs.
