INJURED IN COLLISION.

WOMAN CLAIMS DAMAGES. CASE NOT DEFENDED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Arising out of a motor collision which occurred between Te Kuiti and Otorohanga on January 5,1, .1926, between a service car driven by Humphrey Innes Jones,'of Hamilton, and a car driven by Cowper Moore Jones, agent, of Auckland, an action was heard before Mr. Justice Stringer and a jury of 12, in which Mabel Bedford, wife of John Bedford, of New Plymouth, who was a passenger in the service car, sued Cowper Moore Jones for £55 13/ special damages for injuries received as the result of the collision, and £200 general damages. It may be remembered that this collision, was the subject of a cross action between the two car drivers a few weeks ago in the Lower Court at Hamilton, when the magistrate held that Cowper iloore Jones was liable for the accident. When the case opened, Mr. Watts, counsel for defendant, intimated that it would not be defended. The action would limited to the assessment of the amount of damages.
