MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Alburnit. — The manager reports that the drive liillwards lias been extended a further 10ft. The hangingwall portion of the Orlando reef shows a width of 9in. The country rock is of a most favourable character to carry good values in the reef. The face at present is Hearing the point where a junction should be made with the Star of the South reef. The western crosscut is.now out to a distance of 32ft The country rock has been extremely hard, but a milder class of country is now showing in the face. The crosscut towards the Sons of Freedom reef is now out a distance of 23ft. the country passed through still being blue rock. The hangingwall portion of the Orlando reef lias previously, in this drive, been very small, but now It shows a width between -tin and Din, and things here have improved generally, as nice blotches o£ gold have been seen in some of the stone broken.

Moanataiari. —The manager reports that at the winze all the necessary timbers have been put in position and secured. In the east crosscut good progress is being made with the securing of the timber of the level, and the manager expects soon to start breaking out ore again. New Waiotahi.—The mine manager reports that the drive hiilward on the Waio-tahi-Cambria ' reef has been advanced Oft. The face is now 10ft Into solid country, carrying veins and bunches of jasper similar to that met with on the hanglngwall of the reef. The drive hiihvard on the footwall leader from the bottom of the winze lias been advanced 3ft. The leader has been broken down, and strong blotches of gold have been seen. The leader in the face has again changed to pug ml gritty quartz, but is maintaining its course, and should make quartz again as driving proceeds.
