A bit of Alaska was transferred to Bear \ alley, in the San Bernardino mountains, on Christmas night, when Alaskan dogs went to the rescue of a woman and her child, marooned in a blizzard. Mrs. C. E. Barrett was the woman. The dogs had been sent from a Hollywood studio to get a touch of real winter. When word reached the Bear alley settlement that a woman and child were in an automobile cau»ht in a snowdrift near Baldwin Lake, the dogtrainer harnessed hi§ animals and daihei to tie rescue. ~
