BRIGADE'S BUSY MORNING.

FIRE CALLS AT NEWMARKET. The Newmarket Fire Brigade was twice called out in the early hours of this morning. The first summons was at 4 o'clock, some rafters in the premier of Messrs. Brown Brother? and Geddes. confectioners, of George Street, having caught fire through the overheating of a chimney in which waste material was burnt. The flames were extinguished by a jet from the main, and the brigade returned to quarters, but they had to turn out again to the same premises le~s than two hours later, tire having broken out in material with whii-h the roof was packed. A portion of the roof had to be removed in order to reach the seat of the blaze.
