OCEAN REPAIRS.
DOCK FOB HIGH SEAS. BERLIX, February 21. A Hamburg engineer has invented a new lloating dock, by means of which repairs to vessels caii be carried out on the high seas. The dock is 200 yards long. It is capable of attaining a speed of 14 miles an hour. At the base on each side are air chambers, which can be filled and emptied to lower or raise the dock. The latter can deal with ships of Io.OOU tons. .Several foreign Marine Departments, including that of Britain, are negotiating with the inventor.
